The First United Methodist Church of Warren/Bristol is located in
the historic section of Warren, Rhode Island. The church traces its
beginnings back to 1789 when a small group of believers congregated
in a Kickemuit Village home to hear a sermon from Rev. Daniel
Smith. Erected in 1845, the current church building
maintains its 19th century atmosphere, from the
numbers on the pew doors to the built-in pipe organ.
While the church building is 19th
century, the church congregation lives today. Likewise, our style of
worship is both, traditional and contemporary,

employing liturgical
readings as well as conversational sharing of concerns, traditional
hymns as well as contemporary christian music. Sermons
are grounded in scripture but relevant to life today.
A staffed nursery is available for small children. Communion is
celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. Opportunities
for christian growth are offered in the forms of Sunday School and
small-group Bible Study. Whether in worship or study, in mission or
fellowship, we celebrate the amazing grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Come celebrate with us.
